Michael accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the age of 20 while a student at the University of Arkansas. Michael worked for nearly 18 years for Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas and Burbank, California, before receiving a call to full-time ordained ministry. After studying at Fuller Theological Seminary, he was ordained an Episcopal priest in 2006.
Michael served at parishes in La Crescenta and Bakersfield, California, and accepted a call to plant a church in the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas in June, 2007.
Michael and Kathleen have been married for 24 years, and they have a son, Thomas who is a student at University of North Texas.
Michael’s favorite Bible verse is 1 Cor 15:10, because all that he is and all that he has done has only been by and through the grace of God.
Aubrey was born in South Carolina where she was raised to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ. She accepted Christ into her life at age 11. Her family moved to Texas when she was 15 where she continued to grow in knowledge and love of the Lord.
Aubrey went to school at the University of Texas at Arlington for a Marketing Degree. Aubrey worked in the mortgage industry for 6 years after which time, she and her husband decided it was time to stay home with her children.
Feeling God’s call on her life, Aubrey began working for St. Paul’s as the Parish Administrator. She enjoys both the time she gets to spend with her children, and the work the Lord is allowing her to do at St. Paul’s.
Aubrey and Juan have been married for 9 years and they have 3 wonderful children, a cat and two fish.
I grew up in a small town in central Arkansas, enjoying outside activities and relishing in the change of seasons. I grew up also worshiping in a small Episcopal church and, through the changing seasons in the liturgical calendar, experienced an annual walk through the life of Jesus Christ which formed my faith in him as Lord and Savior. I met my husband (now “Father Michael) in high school; and we married shortly after we both graduated from The University of Arkansas, where I earned a BA in English. After we moved to Houston, I continued my education, receiving my MA in history and a secondary teaching certificate in English and history. After three teaching stints in the last two decades, I hear my call to be Children’s Minister of St. Paul’s especially through Psalm 71:17: “Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.” Michael and I have one son, Thomas, who attends The University of North Texas; and we share the house with “Alister,” a delightful orange tabby cat who wandered into our garage two years ago as a tiny orange fur ball needing a home.
Alicia grew up in Houston and lived in Georgetown, Austin, and Dallas, TX before settling in her new "hometown" of Prosper where she lives with her two children, Paxton and Payton.
